Pikes Peak Velo Racing Homepage

Pikes Peak Velo Racing is an active, well established (We just celebrated our 38th year), USCF / NORBA and ACA bicycle racing team based in Colorado Springs. Our premier race has been the Ed Burke Memorial Criterium.  Last year the race was held on Sunday July 2.  Click on this link for more information !  In 2006, Pikes Peak Velo Racing in conjunction with the Ed Burke Memorial Criterium, helped raise $4650.00 for the Ed Burke Memorial scholarship fund. 

Due to construction at the race site, the criterium for this year has been cancelled however, we will be sponsoring two Cyclo-Cross races later in the fall !

Our team members are active in many aspects of cycling - from road, mountain, track, and cyclocross - to promoting and organizing both races and fun rides. Several members are certified coaches, and several other members work at or own a bike shop. Pikes Peak Velo Racing members are working professionals who actively promote cycling.

Pikes Peak Velo Racing provides training and race day camaraderie, and we also coordinate some car-pooling and accommodations for races. We organize and lead Saturday and Sunday training rides throughout the year in the Colorado Springs area. During the summer months we have practice race nights as well as practice time trail series and bike skill classes, and our certified coaches provide tips in our monthly newsletter and on our website.
